So, I stumbled onto this whole ‘Would You Rather?’ workout thing, but it’s not your basic dilemma of whether you’d rather eat a cockroach or swim in Jell-O. Nope, they’ve turned it into a fitness activity, and this version comes with a snack twist. Imagine working out and asking, ‘Would you rather do jumping jacks with popcorn or push-ups with an apple?’ And no one prepped me for snack-powered cardio.

This isn’t the usual, ‘Hey, let’s jog in place while watching Netflix!’ Nope, it’s a brain break, something for the whole family. More like a chaotic frenzy. So, I decided to give it a go, trying out something that’s apparently perfect for home and family bonding. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure how effective a workout could be with snacks involved, but I guess there’s a fun factor here that I might be missing (considering how many of us are hunting for any exercise chance that doesn’t feel like exercise).
You know the feeling when you’re trying to ignore the cookie jar but it keeps winking at you from the kitchen counter? Yeah, this workout deals with that scenario by tossing the contraband straight into the routine – literally!
So there I was, at home, pretending I’m on some reality show competition while my family chanted, ‘Would you rather?’. It’s hard to say no when a ten-year-old is dictating your fitness life. Anyway, this thing had us moving, laughing, and accidentally snacking amidst all the chaos. Let’s just appreciate how clever it is to mix snacks with workouts – it’s brilliant or utterly absurd, can’t really decide.

Maybe they’re on to something? Like, we’re constantly being told how to eat healthily, but maybe burning off the calories while eyeing the cookies is the real deal. I found some ideas on this blog that could be trying to convince us all to spice up our living room workouts. Perhaps it’s genius, or maybe it’s the food companies’ master plan to keep us buying more snacks.
Either way, if you can manage to pull it off without ending up in a snack coma, kudos! My abs, or what’s left of them, are still confused from the whole ordeal. Snacks as workout gear – who’d have thought? My eyes still hurt. I need coffee. Ugh.
